Eric Gershenow

Eric Nelson Gershenow is a guitarist/ composer/ sound engineer whose goal is to create soundscapes that take listeners on a journey. This is evident in his thought provoking new instrumental EP “Unrequited Admiration Society” (2026). A collaboration with producer Adrian Harpham, the album is a meditation with each track telling a story through guitar-rich harmonies and syncopated rhythms that make you feel as if you’re floating in space.

Originally from the DC area, Eric has established himself as a Philadelphia-based musician. Inspired by Blues, R&B and Soul music, his musical prowess has afforded him the opportunity to work with such greats as late producer/ bassist Douglas C. Grigsby III. Having most recently shared the stage with Zydeco legend C.J.Chenier, Eric can regularly be found performing alongside mystic philly rocker E.J.Simpson and actively performs as a guitarist for hire in various party band projects including The Plumes and with Rock It Entertainment.

Eric has been and continues to be involved in various theatrical productions that have included live sound engineering for the Barrymore award-winning production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (2018) as well as the annual Tribute to Jesus Christ Superstar hosted at Gloria Dei (Old Swedes) Church in South Philadelphia. He operates as Music Director/ Sound Designer for Casa buena Cultural Productions, crafting original music and sound design for live theatre and video, as well as co-host/ editor/ sound engineer for the radio show/ podcast What Do You Know About That in addition to being a freelance musician.

. is a minimalist mark inviting interpretation—an end, pause, or beginning. Concise and clear, it focuses attention and, in its restraint, holds space for meaning as both punctuation and prompt.
